Academic Honesty Policies and Regulations

In order to maintain the academic ethics sand professional values ​​that our religion urges us, ALRIKAZ SOLUTIONS TRAINING CENTER always emphasizes them within the training environment by constantly highlighting the highest standards and compliance of academic honesty, whether from the trainers, employees of the center, or trainees. ALRIKAZ SOLUTIONS TRAINING CENTER undertakes the responsibility to create all the standards required to control the training process to achieve academic honesty at all stages, beginning with registering trainees in training programs, during training, and even during tests and results. ALRIKAZ SOLUTIONS TRAINING CENTER believes that strengthening and maintaining academic honesty represents an essential part of the trainee’s personal and intellectual growth, trainee’s, which increases the awareness for all parties involved (staff, trainees, trainer) about all issues related to academic honesty by promoting an atmosphere of trust, morality, and high ethical standards, which on the other hand contributes to the prosperity of society with high moral values.

Academic dishonesty examples:

Cheating: cheating is copying others’ work or the unauthorized use of any information and training materials in academic exams or other tasks assigned to trainees.

Plagiarism/Violation of Intellectual Property: is using/presenting someone else’s work or ideas as your own, with or without their consent, without reference to the original work owner.

The exploitation of cooperation: the trainee’s dependence on another trainee within his group to complete a group/teamwork, or the use of another trainee to complete a task.

Fabrication and forgery: it is when the trainee alters or fabricates the information available to him in an academic test or assignment, or brings a forged medical report to be absent from attendance.

Receiving any assistance during tests, or providing any information to another trainee where it is not permitted, or bringing external papers in the test, and obtaining information not provided by the test creator.

Obtaining or providing unauthorized assistance during exams, or fabricating lab results or other academic work.

Identity theft/Impersonation: it is when the trainee pretends to be someone else in the class, test, or in any kind of academic task.

Fraud Prevention Mechanisms:

  • Issuing different variants of the test through a question bank.
  • The test must be in an MCQ (Multiple Choice Question) format to prevent copying and pasting.
  • Test time allocation should be set appropriately. It should not exceed 60 seconds per question.
  • All course contents must be hidden at the time of the exam (technical method) to prevent the student from browsing them during the exam.
  • Use the Secure Exam Browser (SEB). This program turns any device into a secure workstation with a browser that prevents the trainee from moving or controlling his/her device, including opening files, opening any browsers, or even disconnecting the Internet connection from the trainee’s device. The device will be connected again to the Internet when it is time to submit the test and then the trainee can use the device normally in addition to disabling the copy, paste, and screen sharing features.

Identity Theft Prevention Mechanisms:

  • When the trainee enters the site, the trainee must enter their login details (username, password).
  • A virtual class is held and the camera is opened during the exam time, and the invigilator is available to verify the trainee’s identity.
  • To verify the trainee’s identity, the invigilator asks for (National ID, Residence ID) from the trainee.

Penalties’ policy

If the trainee is caught cheating at the time of the test, or in the event of identity impersonation by another person taking the test, the following procedures shall entail:

  • Drafting a detailed report of the violation, attaching the necessary evidence, and then presenting it to the supervisor, who in turn presents it to the specialists to issue necessary penalties
  • Drafting the violation against the trainee according to the results of the minutes prepared by the specialists and according to the penalties indicated in the academic integrity policies
    • Penalties against violators include:
      1. Exclusion the trainee from the course
      2. Banning the violator from a subsequent session
      3. Non-refundable fees paid
In the event of plagiarism in academic material “academic plagiarism:”
  • Drafting a detailed report of the violation, attaching related documents and evidence, and then presenting it to the specialists to issue the necessary penalties
  • Penalties for violators are as follows:
    1. Exclusion of violator from the course
    2. Refusal of accepting the violator for similar training courses for a period of no less than 3 years
    3. Refusal of refunding paid training fee.
    4. Compensation in case of benefit from the training material and selling it to any other party.
    5. Hand over the violating trainee to the concerned authorities
